NVC-Based Consultation & Training

for Therapists

You got into this field because you have a big heart. Let's nurture that.

NVC helps you stay connected to your heart and your clients'.

What is NVC?

Nonviolent Communication (NVC) was developed by Marshall Rosenberg, PhD, who was inspired by many wise folks including Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Carl Rogers. It is a process that supports people in speaking and listening in a way that fosters both authenticity and connection. Rooted in a belief that all human beings have the same universal needs and that everything we do and say is an attempt to meet needs, NVC provides a compassionate foundation for therapeutic work that honors the humanity in all people.

Hi, I'm Ali Miller, and I love NVC.

I'm on a mission to support therapists and other mental health clinicians in learning Nonviolent Communication (NVC) as deeply as possible so that you can bring these radically compassionate principles and tools into the therapeutic setting with integrity, confidence, and skill. I've been studying and practicing NVC intensively since 2006 and love sharing NVC with therapists and others through workshops, trainings, and consultation. When I'm not teaching NVC to therapists, couples, or sharing it with my therapy clients, I'm a Guiding Teacher for the Mindful Communication course at Mindful Schools.
